The Grades
When I first came here from New York my grades were low and I need top boost them up in order to past the eight grade. When I left my New York City home I left with a disappointment of having 55’s in all my classes, when I arrived in Delaware the schools were so easy I could pass them in a flash. I was here in the past in 6th grade and all the schools were easy going and stress-free to me. When I got to Mariner Middles School I thought all the teachers are relaxing and they were able to explain things in a different fashion. Understanding the concept is very important for me to be able to pass my classes. So that’s what I was able to do, when all of my teachers are very clear when teaching.
I was doing well in all my classes, when I got a chance to look at them I had all 90’s and 88’s I was happy. I was very proud of myself since I had a failing grade in most of my classes since I had a 55 before it would bring my average down to a low grade. I was always a good student but sometimes a student slakes off and gets lazy, but they need to get back on track. Well I most of the time take it easy down here since they don’t really give that much Homework. In New York they would give 3 home assignments per class, with 2 projects that had to be done in 1 week.
Even in New York I slacked off a little but then I would have to change that really quickly before doing something else that would cause me to fail. I am very happy that I have teachers like Mrs. Albanese and Mrs. Waite because they would really help me out with my work; causing my determination to rise and causing me too get higher on my test and things. These were my grades 95 Language Arts, 84 Math, 88 science,85 Social studies. I am very proud of myself and now I can make the final step of my Goal making it to a technical school to study for my career. I Admire
I admire my cousin because he is 24 years old and has always been successful in school. He has already achieved his bachelor’s degree and has never complained about a stressful day in college. When I go to New York City I go to see him. He does splendidly on all his exams and always has a positive attitude about every thing that happens to him. On his exams he has all 90’s and 100’s that encourages me a lot to go on, because he is the second in my family to achieve the goal of reaching college. Nothing could every be the same without my cousin Malvin, he always liven things up in this family. Always making jokes and making people laugh. I admire him because he is always giving me advice about things like school and always making me feel better about things that happen to me. I admire Malvin because he has always been there for me, when I needed him. He is always doing something that I have never seen before, introducing me to brand new ancient things. Teaching me the difference between races, in the past. Giving me new ideas about everything, he is a very special person in this family. Without Malvin this family would not be complete. Things would be quiet, that’s why I go hang out with him when I go to New York he is so sociably. It’s almost like having an older brother. I always have fun at his house because we are always doing something such as playing games or playing handball outside with friends. “When United it is hard to separate, because when one we surpass far more than regular life” claims : Malvin.
